The contract signing ceremony for the Yonghe Dachen Community Unit 1 was held at the Yongping Activity Center, attracting participation from city officials, local legislators, and residents. New Taipei City Government Secretary-General Qiu Jingbin witnessed the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of stable housing and employment as well as the government's commitment to urban renewal. Each renewal unit has successfully attracted investment, and there are expectations that future green spaces and MRT facilities will bring convenience to the community. Qiu Jingbin pointed out that efforts will continue to promote the construction and planning of other units, with the hope of rebuilding the Dachen community and enhancing the quality of life for residents.

At the contract signing ceremony of the Yonghe Dachen Community Unit 1, guests gathered for a group photo. New Taipei City Government Secretary-General Chiu Ching-bin was present at the Yongping Activity Center in Yonghe, witnessing the process of this public reconstruction project. The New Taipei Housing and Urban Renewal Center and the Far Glory Construction team completed the contract signing ceremony, where long-term observers of Yonghe's development, including legislators, councilors, and village chiefs, along with other implementers from different units and local residents, came together to celebrate this grand event, creating a lively atmosphere.

Chiu Ching-bin pointed out that ensuring a secure home and a stable job has always been an important promise from Mayor Hou to the citizens. Since the completion and occupancy of the renewal Unit 2 in 109, it has signified the success of public urban renewal and has become a benchmark for the area. The city government, together with the New Taipei Housing and Urban Renewal Center team, is promoting the investment attraction work for other renewal units. Currently, Units 5, 6, 7, and Units 3, 4 are also progressing with orderly investments, demonstrating the determination of the city government, housing center, and the implementer teams to advance the work.

He stated that with the successful investment attraction of Unit 1, the overall renewal plan for the seven units has comprehensively launched as widely anticipated, successfully completing what was once considered an impossible mission.

The General Manager of Far Glory Construction mentioned that the area is close to Ren'ai Park and features a large green space, providing an ideal location for residents' daily leisure activities. The under-construction Wanta Line of the MRT will also pass near Yongping Elementary School, establishing a new MRT station to facilitate transportation in and out of Taipei City. In the future, public facilities will be planned according to local needs to create a friendly and comfortable open space, striving to continue the experiences from the promotion of each unit and work together to propose the best planning and design for changing the urban landscape of the Dachen community.

Chiu Ching-bin added that the city government's team is accelerating the review process. Currently, construction for Unit 3 will begin, Unit 4 is integrating planning, and Units 5 and 7 are under review, while Unit 6 is expected to be demolished in the second half of 114. With the last piece of the Yonghe Dachen Community approaching a significant milestone, the city government shows its determination. Since Yonghe is a densely populated early development area, the city government has chosen to promote large-scale public urban renewal through assessed planning, hoping that this project can serve as a successful model case to further drive the reconstruction of old communities in New Taipei City, providing the public with a safer and more comfortable living environment, injecting new vitality into New Taipei City.
