The New Taipei City Volunteer Firefighter Brigade held the "114th Year Fire Prevention and Advocacy Team Advisory Committee Gathering and Central Division Appreciation Event" in the Shulin District. Vice Mayor Zhu Tizhi presented the "Best Fire Prevention Advocate" and "Golden Advocacy Award" to recognize the contributions of 33 outstanding volunteer fire prevention advocates. Since its establishment in 1999, the fire prevention team has trained 795 personnel, actively promoting fire prevention, earthquake preparedness, and disaster education, and was the first in the nation to install residential smoke detectors. Vice Mayor Zhu thanked the volunteer firefighters for their efforts, emphasized the importance of disaster education, and encouraged more citizens to join the volunteer firefighting efforts to protect the safety of the city.

The 114th New Taipei City Volunteer Firefighters' Advisory Group Reunion and Recognition Event for the Central and Southern Team was held at the Shulin District Shuangyan Happiness Ceremony Hall, aimed at honoring the hard work of volunteer firefighting personnel in New Taipei City. During the event, the Vice Mayor of New Taipei City presented the "Best in Prevention" award for the year 113, along with the "Golden Prevention Award" for outstanding personnel from various prevention units, with a total of thirty-three excellent individuals receiving awards, highlighting their significant contributions to disaster prevention education.

Since its establishment in the 88th year of the Republic, the New Taipei City Volunteer Firefighters' Brigade has been active for over twenty-six years, consisting of five teams and twenty-eight divisions, with a total of seven hundred ninety-five volunteer firefighting personnel. Since the appointment of the brigade leader in the 113th year, they have inherited excellent traditions, actively promoting fire prevention, earthquake preparedness, and disaster education, and have engaged deeply with communities, schools, and households in high-risk groups to enhance citizens' emergency response capabilities.

During the advocacy process, particular emphasis was placed on fire and electricity safety, and assistance was provided for the installation of residential fire alarms in old apartments. A total of 679,843 units have been installed, including 98,252 units for vulnerable groups, making it the highest in the nation. The successful early warnings have reached six hundred fifty-two cases, also ranking first in the country. Over the past five years, the average number of fire incidents in New Taipei City has significantly decreased by more than 20%.

The Vice Mayor expressed gratitude in their speech for the contributions of the volunteer firefighters and acknowledged the outstanding leadership of the brigade leader. They emphasized the importance of disaster prevention education for the safety of the city and encouraged more citizens to join the ranks of volunteer firefighters to collectively maintain the safety of New Taipei City.
