The New Taipei City Government recently announced that an economic development delegation visited the Netherlands to explore the global semiconductor leader ASML, expressing gratitude for its investment in New Taipei and welcoming supply chain partners to deepen their investments in the city, aiming to enhance the bilateral competitiveness and influence of Taiwan and the Netherlands.

The Economic Development Bureau released a press statement indicating that the third stop of the delegation is set in the European technology hub of the Netherlands, visiting the innovative core cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Eindhoven. This trip not only aimed to learn from governance experiences but also to lay the foundation for bilateral city cooperation.

The Deputy Mayor mentioned in the press release that the team visited ASML in Eindhoven, thanking the company for its investment in New Taipei and extending an invitation to Dutch businesses, hoping their supply chain partners can also invest in New Taipei, looking forward to deepening bilateral industrial cooperation between Taiwan and the Netherlands.

The Deputy Mayor pointed out that the high-tech park in Eindhoven is known as the "Silicon Valley of the Netherlands." During this trip, the team held discussions with the park management center, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, and the Dutch Photonics Industry Association, to learn from their industrial cluster models and innovative industry cultivation strategies.

The city government stated that the delegation is concerned about the development of New Taipei enterprises in Europe and hopes to draw from the successful innovative R&D models of the park to strengthen New Taipei's international competitiveness and influence.

The director of the Economic Development Bureau pointed out that the city government promotes market renovations and the livelihoods of ordinary citizens. The visit included Rotterdam’s market, which is acclaimed as the "most beautiful market in the world," showcasing residential-commercial models, architectural aesthetics, and modern information technology, making it a city landmark and attracting tourist crowds. This will become an important reference for New Taipei's future "Galaxy Bay Project" and market renovation projects in the Luzhou District.

The press release also mentioned that the visiting group met with the Amsterdam City Government to exchange experiences in urban development and planning, which presents a valuable learning opportunity for the growing population of New Taipei.

The city government stated that from March 27 to April 10, the Deputy Mayor and representatives from 20 New Taipei businesses will visit Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland for business expansion, aiming to seize international orders and deepen industrial cooperation opportunities with the local markets.
