The Economic Development Delegation from New Taipei City recently visited the Netherlands, where they met with semiconductor leader ASML to thank them for their investment in New Taipei and invite supply chain partners to deepen their collaboration. The delegation also visited Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Eindhoven to share experiences in urban governance and industrial innovation, while focusing on the development of New Taipei enterprises in Europe. This trip is beneficial in enhancing bilateral industrial connections and competitiveness between Taiwan and the Netherlands, and also serves as a reference for New Taipei's market redevelopment plans.

The New Taipei City Government announced today that the Economic Development Delegation will travel to the Netherlands to visit the global semiconductor leader ASML, to thank the company for choosing to invest in New Taipei and to sincerely invite its supply chain partners to deepen their investments in New Taipei, enhancing the competitiveness and influence between Taiwan and the Netherlands.

According to a statement released by the Economic Development Bureau today, the third stop of the delegation is to the European technology hub of the Netherlands, visiting the innovative core cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Eindhoven. In addition to learning from their governance experiences, this visit lays the foundation for bilateral city cooperation. The Deputy Mayor stated in the press release that the team visited ASML in Eindhoven to thank the company for its investment in New Taipei and extended an invitation to Dutch businesses, hoping that their supply chain partners would invest in New Taipei to promote bilateral industrial cooperation.

The Deputy Mayor mentioned that the Eindhoven High-Tech Campus is known as the "Silicon Valley of the Netherlands." During this trip, the team held discussions with the management center of the campus, the Dutch Enterprise Agency, and the Dutch Photonics Industry Association to learn from the industrial clustering model and innovative industry development strategies. The city government stated that the team is very concerned about the development and operations of New Taipei companies such as研揚科技 (Advantech) and技嘉科技 (Gigabyte Technology) in Europe and hopes to leverage the successful innovative R&D model and industrial agglomeration effects of the campus to deepen cooperative relationships and strengthen the international competitiveness and influence of New Taipei's industries.

The bureau director pointed out that the city government is promoting market renovation and the people's economy. This visit provides a reference for the Rotterdam Market, which enjoys the reputation of being "the most beautiful market in the world." The market combines residential and commercial models, architectural aesthetics, and modern information technology, becoming a city landmark that attracts a large number of tourists.

Additionally, the delegation also visited the Amsterdam City Government to exchange experiences in urban development and planning, which is a valuable learning opportunity for the continuously growing New Taipei. The city government stated that the Deputy Mayor will accompany 20 New Taipei businesses from March 27 to April 10 to Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland to expand business, seize international orders, and deepen cooperation opportunities with local industries.
