This event is organized in collaboration with the New Taipei City Government, the Taiwan Toy Library Association, and TOYOTA and Thai Motors, and will kick off a nationwide tour from April to June, inviting families to engage in various games and hands-on activities. Mayor Hou You-ih emphasized the importance of donating toys, instilling love and sustainable concepts in children's hearts. During the event, parents and children can experience the significance of gender equality and toy recycling through challenge games. This initiative has already attracted over 340,000 participants and promoted the recycling and reuse of second-hand toys, with a total of 237 tons of toys recycled to date. New Taipei City has launched an Easter toy DIY course, allowing parents and children to create toys together. Toys are not only a form of companionship but also a bridge that conveys sustainable values. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the "Sharing Toys" event, and the city government, in collaboration with relevant associations and enterprises, will hold a nationwide tour featuring fifteen events from April to June, aimed at inviting parents and children to learn about environmental protection and sharing through play.

The mayor stated that the focus of this event is to convey the concept of "sharing." Donating toys is not only an expression of love but also a demonstration of caring actions. He thanked the supporting partners for making this meaningful event possible and called on everyone to cultivate awareness of recycling and reusing second-hand toys from a young age, becoming guardians of sustainable development.

The event has designed multiple challenges and DIY toy-making courses, such as the "Household Combat" challenge, which allows parents and children to confirm each family member's role in household chores through a beanbag throwing activity, emphasizing gender equality; the "Toy Journey" challenge uses dart games to help parents and children understand the correct classification of toy donations.

Among them, a senior executive in charge of corporate affairs mentioned that TOYOTA's service centers across Taiwan are equipped with toy recycling boxes, which have seen a participation of 340,000 individuals over the past decade, hoping to promote the concepts of cherishing, sharing, and recycling, further spreading sustainable values throughout Taiwan.

Since its establishment in 2016, the New Taipei City Toy Bank has continuously promoted the recycling and reuse of second-hand toys. As of March this year, it has recycled 237 tons of second-hand toys, equivalent to the carbon absorption of 30,000 trees in one year. Through collaboration with associations, volunteers work hard to clean and categorize, sending 470,000 second-hand toys to over 1,176 service points, including public childcare centers.

A vice chairman of the association stated that encouraging toy recycling and regeneration is an important mission. It is hoped that intergenerational love and communication can be fostered through play among the young and old. This year, the New Taipei City Toy Bank will also hold nearly a hundred outreach activities and welcomes interested individuals to visit the official website or social media for related information.
