Li Li-zheng, director of the city government's news department, indicated through a press release that the Executive Yuan mentioned during a recent press conference that the industries most affected by this policy include those of information and communication equipment and electronic components, which hold a significant proportion in New Taipei City. Mayor Hou You-ih is focused on how to assist these enterprises in communication and has called on the central government to actively negotiate with the U.S. for more favorable conditions.

She noted that Mayor Hou You-ih believes that compared to other countries, New Taipei City needs to prepare and grasp the situation earlier in this regard. He stated that the Executive Yuan's proposed NT$88 billion assistance plan is only a small remedy for the long-term development of the industry, and the focus should be on how to solidify the foundations of local enterprises and improve the overall business environment, especially by ensuring a stable energy supply.
