Director of the New Taipei City News Bureau, Li Li-zhen, stated that during yesterday's press conference, the Executive Yuan pointed out that among the industries most severely affected, information and communication equipment and electronic component manufacturers hold an important position in New Taipei City. Mayor Hou You-ih has been making calls to express concern for the related businesses and to exchange opinions on the assistance that the local government can provide.

Li Li-zhen conveyed Hou You-ih's perspective, asserting that compared to other countries, we should prepare in advance and actively negotiate with the U.S. to secure more favorable conditions. The NT$88 billion assistance plan proposed by the Executive Yuan is still insufficient for the long-term development of the industry. She noted that Hou You-ih emphasized that strengthening the foundation of local businesses is the key, and improvements in the overall business environment are necessary, particularly concerning the stability of energy supply.
