He believes that the NT$88 billion assistance plan offers limited help for the long-term development of industries and that the business environment, particularly energy supply, must be improved. The government's policies include loan subsidies, tax reductions, and strengthening export capabilities, among others.

Regarding the Executive Yuan's press conference yesterday, New Taipei City Government Spokesperson Lee Li-jen pointed out that the industries impacted by the new U.S. tariff policy mainly include manufacturers of information and communication equipment and electronic components, with New Taipei City holding an important position in this regard. Mayor Hou You-ih has begun making calls to express concern for the relevant enterprises and is exchanging opinions regarding local government support, with plans to urgently convene an industry development advisory committee.

Lee Li-jen relayed that Hou You-ih believes that compared to other countries that are already prepared, the central government must strengthen its response, actively negotiate with the U.S. to secure better conditions. The Executive Yuan's 88 billion TWD assistance program is indeed insufficient for the long-term development of the industry; the focus should be on how to stabilize the foundation of local enterprises, including improving the overall operating environment, especially ensuring a stable energy supply.

The Executive Yuan's assistance measures include loan subsidies, tax reductions, as well as strengthening export capabilities, guiding transformations, and exploring diverse markets to enhance the international competitiveness of industries. In particular, small and medium-sized enterprises and traditional industries will receive special attention from the government, along with relevant countermeasures proposed.
