Since the ambulance was equipped with a positioning system, it was ultimately intercepted near the Dagang Bridge. The police are currently investigating the woman's actions.

• The Zuoying Police Station received a report and learned at 11:28 AM today that an ambulance had been driven away from outside the hospital's emergency room by an unknown person, and promptly dispatched officers to handle the situation.
• Upon investigation, it was found that while the fire personnel were transporting a patient to the hospital, the ambulance's engine was left running, but upon returning, they discovered the vehicle was missing.
• After the police were notified, they utilized the vehicle’s positioning system and surveillance footage to discover that the woman arrived by taxi at the hospital's emergency room. Noticing the rear door of the ambulance was left open without registration, she drove the vehicle away.
• The police intercepted the woman successfully at 11:50 AM today at the Port of Kaohsiung. An inspection confirmed there was no loss of property in the ambulance.
• After investigation, the police found the woman to be emotionally unstable and transferred her to the prosecutorial authorities on charges of theft and obstructing public affairs.
