He has instructed the Department of Economic Development to assess the challenges facing the city's industries, including order relocation and rising costs, and will hold an industry symposium next week to gather opinions and integrate resources to swiftly stabilize industrial development. The city government will also conduct risk assessments on the affected related industries and closely monitor international circumstances to ensure the stability of citizens' lives.

He mentioned that the Keelung City Government will make every effort to address this challenge and has requested relevant departments to quickly compile the issues facing local industries, including order losses, rising costs, and tariff impacts, while also assessing the effects of price fluctuations on the daily lives of citizens.

The Mayor pointed out that Keelung has two major industrial zones and important industrial partners, and the city government will work hard to maintain the stability and sustainable development of these industries. He indicated that three assistance measures will be established to tackle challenges, including building a communication platform, conducting real-time monitoring of industrial risks, and strengthening guidance for local and overseas manufacturers.

Additionally, the city government has invited representatives from the two major industrial zones to hold a forum to gather opinions from the industry, aiming to propose concrete policy suggestions and integrate relevant resources to ensure a quick response and achieve the goal of stabilizing the industry.

In response to the affected information and communication technology, electronics, and manufacturing industries, the city government will conduct risk classification and demand surveys as important bases for future policies and resource allocation. The Mayor mentioned that some manufacturers in Keelung have operations abroad, so the city government will also collaborate with relevant departments to understand the situation regarding business operations and labor rights, and report to the central government in a timely manner to jointly formulate response measures.
