Last night around 10 PM, a 41-year-old man with the last name Ma in Tongxiao Township, Miaoli, lost control of his emotions, rushed out of his home, and attacked his 70-year-old father and 66-year-old mother. The father was injured while trying to stop him, and the mother was severely beaten with stones by the man, suffering serious injuries including head bruises and fractures. The police subsequently arrested the man and transferred him to the prosecutor's office for investigation on multiple charges. The family has also requested an emergency protection order.
Last night (4th) around 10 PM, a 41-year-old man in Miaoli, Tongxiao Township suddenly ran out to the road from his home. When his father tried to stop him, he unexpectedly punched him and then picked up a large rock to attack his mother who came to mediate. The police swiftly arrested the man, and the entire case will be forwarded to the district prosecutor's office for investigation after questioning on the 5th.
It is reported that this 41-year-old man is an only child living with his parents. Unfortunately, last night (4th), he lost control of his emotions and ran out to the road. His 70-year-old father, seeing this, hurriedly followed to stop him but was punched and injured by his son. His 66-year-old mother rushed forward to mediate but was unexpectedly attacked by her son, who picked up about a 30 cm large rock from the roadside and struck her on the head, resulting in the father suffering minor injuries to his left leg, while the mother was severely injured and taken to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with blunt force trauma to the head, traumatic subdural hematoma, and facial fractures.
The injured parents told the police that their son has poor mental health but had not sought medical help. The police subsequently sent the man to the district prosecutor's office for suspected attempted murder of direct relatives, assault, and domestic violence, and assisted the family in applying for an emergency protection order.
