This morning, the family of the deceased came to pay their respects and questioned the county government about shirking responsibility. The Yilan County Government and relevant personnel were present to express their condolences, stating that they would take full responsibility and conduct an investigation into the incident.

Although resuscitation efforts were made, he ultimately did not survive, while Mrs. You suffered a fractured arm and is currently receiving treatment. This morning, the victim's family went to the Green Expo to hold a memorial ceremony, demanding accountability from the county government and stating that responsibility should not be passed off. Staff from the Yilan County Government also attended to express their apologies.

To recall the incident, there were two small trains in the Yilan Green Expo Park responsible for transporting visitors. At the time of the incident, the train was in an empty state, and while returning to the entrance, it allegedly lost braking function. Staff quickly evacuated the visitors in front, but the You couple was unable to evade in time and was hit by the small train, which subsequently tilted, causing Mr. You to be trapped underneath. Bystanders quickly worked together to lift the train to rescue him, but they were ultimately unable to save Mr. You's life, while Mrs. You is hospitalized for treatment. The family expressed their dissatisfaction with the county government, bluntly stating it was "outrageous," and questioned why responsible parties failed to ensure the safety of amusement facilities, insisting that the county government should bear responsibility instead of shifting it to vendors and drivers. They also criticized the park for not implementing pedestrian-vehicle separation, which they believe led to this tragedy.

Today, the head of the agricultural department of the Yilan County Government and related industry personnel accompanied the family throughout the memorial ceremony and expressed their apologies. The government stated that it will take full responsibility, including all follow-up matters, and promised not to evade responsibility. Currently, the Green Expo has been closed for a comprehensive inspection. Regarding the cause of the accident, reports indicate that the driver stated the small train lost its braking function on the slope before the waiting station, causing gravity to accelerate and making it unmanageable, and even pulling the handbrake could not prevent the accident.

In response to public concerns regarding the lack of "pedestrian-vehicle separation" within the park, the person in charge explained that the area from the entrance to the waiting station is a sidewalk and does not fall within the vehicle driving range. Beyond the waiting station, a pedestrian-vehicle separation approach is adopted, and staff will remind visitors to remain in safe areas. The accident occurred when the small train lost braking ability after starting from the waiting station and directly crashed towards the entrance.
