Pingtung is the main production area for Golden Diamond Pineapples in Taiwan, with an annual output of over 110,000 tons. The market will feature 25 stalls offering fresh pineapples, processed products, and interactive DIY experiences, including jam-making and keychain weaving, as well as giveaways and a lottery for those who spend over a certain amount. The Agricultural Products Pavilion will continue to hold seasonal crop-themed markets and related activities in the future.

The harvest season for Golden Diamond Pineapples is from March to May each year, which is the best time to enjoy them. To promote this seasonal fruit, the Pingtung County government will hold a pineapple-themed market at the Agricultural Products Pavilion today and tomorrow. Fresh pineapples will be sold on-site, along with various agricultural experiences and musical performances planned for the event.

Golden Diamond Pineapple is an important fruit variety in the Pingtung area. According to data from the Agricultural Department, the main producing towns include Gao Shu, Nei Pu, Wan Luan, Chao Zhou, and Xin Pi, with a total planting area of 3,482 hectares and an annual output of over 110,000 tons, making it the largest production area in Taiwan.

The Agricultural Department stated in a press release that to promote local fresh Golden Diamond Pineapples and quality agricultural products, they will hold the "Prosperous Golden Diamond Pingtung Flavor Market" on the 5th and 6th, with activities running from 11 AM to 5 PM. At the market, visitors can taste the sweet and juicy, finely textured Pingtung pineapples, and it will also offer agricultural education and hands-on experiences. Interactive activities include "Pineapple Jam Making," "Pineapple Fruit Tea and Potted Plant DIY," "Weaving Pineapple Keychains," and "Fruit Picking Fun - Little Gourd."

The Agricultural Department pointed out that the market will feature 25 distinctive stalls, gathering local small farmers and young farmers to sell seasonal fresh pineapples, processed products, beverages, specialty snacks, and agricultural creative products. Additionally, a point collection card and check-in activities are planned. Customers who reach a spending threshold will receive a sea-themed grouper snack, while those who take photos and check in can get a Pingtung popsicle. Collecting enough points will also allow participation in a lottery. In the afternoon, the "Erxingcheng Band" will perform live, bringing relaxing and enjoyable music to provide a soothing time for the public.

The Agricultural Products Pavilion serves as an important base for agricultural promotion in the county, continuously combining seasonal crop themes with market planning, agricultural experiences, and farm-to-table events, launching monthly agricultural-themed exhibitions and a series of activities, such as the "Orchid Themed Special Exhibition" in March, and the ongoing "Lin x Future - Sustainable Forestry Exploration Exhibition," allowing the public to experience the vitality and enthusiasm of Pingtung agriculture.
