It is understood that a man in his twenties with the surname Yang was responsible for collecting fraudulent funds for the fraud syndicate. When he went to the south to collect nearly ten million in funds but failed to deliver as promised, he was retaliated against. The fraud syndicate had previously threatened his ex-wife multiple times without success, ultimately instructing a man in his thirties with the surname Song and two other henchmen to throw Molotov cocktails at Yang's parents' residence, causing panic among the neighbors.

Yang claims he was framed by the fraud syndicate, but has not yet reported the matter to the police for clarification. Song and the other two suspects have been charged with attempted murder for the deliberate arson, facing charges of seven years to life imprisonment, and have currently been transferred to the Tainan District Prosecutors Office.
