This year, the long-awaited glow event has arrived! To promote local tourism, the Kaohsiung City Government’s Tourism Bureau has specially compiled a travel guide for the Namaxia Firefly Viewing activities, allowing more domestic and international travelers to explore the charming attractions in the nine districts of eastern Kaohsiung. This year, the firefly breeding results in Namaxia are plentiful, with the sparkling fireflies dancing freely like stars in the sky, weaving a mesmerizing light and shadow dance along the three firefly viewing trails: "Labinia," "Dakanua," and "Maxinghalan."

The Tourism Bureau indicated that the number of fireflies has significantly increased this year, with over fifteen species and two hundred thousand fireflies. The "fire golden aunt" flying in the night sky makes one feel as if they are in a dreamlike glow world, and the local tribespeople refer to this place as "the residence of immortals," passionately inviting everyone to come to Namaxia to chase the glow.

In addition to nighttime firefly viewing, Namaxia has many attractions and delicious foods worth exploring and experiencing during the day. Visitors can head to "Buzzing Grand Canyon" to feel the artistry of nature and climb to the calling platform to enjoy the panoramic view. "Minquan Elementary School" integrates indigenous culture, environmental protection, and education, with the design inspiration for its library coming from the hunting huts of the local Bunun tribe and the men's club of the Kanakanafu tribe, fully showcasing Namaxia's cultural characteristics and receiving "Diamond-level Green Building" certification.

It is recommended to arrange an in-depth multi-day itinerary that connects the tourism resources and schedules of various districts, planning a romantic journey for firefly viewing, flower appreciation, understanding Pingpu and indigenous cultures, and tasting the distinctive cuisines of various ethnic groups. It is also highly recommended to visit Neimen Shunxian Temple to watch the traditional Songjiang Battle finals, combining religious beliefs, cultural performances, and culinary traditions, which is definitely worth exploring.
