In Rio Branco, the capital of Acre state in Brazil, a man was trapped in a concrete wall while trying to escape from prison. The incident occurred on June 16, when 32-year-old inmate Alan Leandro da Silva attempted to dig a hole using rudimentary tools such as a broom handle and nails. After two days of digging, he thought the hole was large enough to fit his body. However, when he tried to enter, he became stuck and found himself hanging with his upper body suspended in the wall.

The prison authorities soon noticed unusual sounds coming from the cell and went to investigate, discovering da Silva trapped in the wall. Emergency services were called to assist in the rescue. Footage from the incident shows the inmate with an exposed upper body and tattoos on his back, leaning against a blue plastic chair while firefighters carefully used power tools to enlarge the hole from the back, eventually succeeding in rescuing him.

Firefighters reported that due to his suspended state, there were risks to his circulation, making the entire rescue operation very careful to avoid further harm. Once rescued, da Silva received basic medical care before being returned to his cell. Following the incident, local police conducted an inquiry to clarify his responsibility for damaging prison property.

Reports also suggest that he may have received assistance from a cellmate during the digging process, although this has not been officially confirmed. Currently, prison authorities have not provided an explanation as to how he obtained the tools or why the digging went unnoticed for so long. The incident has sparked significant discussion on social media, with many questioning the effectiveness of the prison's security measures.

The footage of the rescue operation has since become a hot topic online, with many expressing disbelief at da Silva's escape plan and calling for improved security in prisons to prevent similar incidents in the future.
