The leader of the Korean boy group SHINee, Onew, recently released his fourth mini-album "CONNECTION," officially returning to the music scene. The Taipei stop of his namesake tour was held at the Taipei Pop Music Center on the 5th, attracting nearly 4,000 fans who came to show their support. Onew not only performed his new English single "MAD" for the first time globally but also prepared several little surprises to interact with the fans. While singing "Boy," he personally shot paper airplanes that he had written for Taiwanese fans into the audience, touching everyone present.
This is Onew's first solo concert tour, during which he performed many representative works from his career, including the title track "Blue" from his first solo album, as well as "DICE," "Beat Drum," and more. The entire performance was presented without dancer support; instead, his delicate and moving voice combined with the live band’s music moved the hearts of the fans. The enthusiastic support from the audience deeply touched him, and he exclaimed, "I was just surprised, your voices directly penetrated my headphones, thank you so much!" When singing "Starry Night" together with the fans, he couldn't help but give a thumbs up and praised in Chinese, saying, "I'm touched, it’s amazing."
At the end of the concert, he mentioned that Taiwan is the place he visits most often and expressed his intention to meet everyone again as soon as possible. When the fans below shouted "SHINee," Onew responded with surprise, saying, "SHINee should be able to come, although I can't guarantee it now, but I will work hard to let SHINee meet everyone." He then performed "Promise You" and personally handed a basket full of purple bouquets to the fans in the venue, perfectly concluding the performance.
