The leader of the South Korean boy group SHINee, Onew, recently released his fourth mini-album, "CONNECTION," marking his official return to the music stage. His namesake tour was held at the Taipei Pop Music Center on the 5th, attracting nearly 4,000 fans.
During the performance, Onew not only premiered his new English song "MAD" globally but also prepared numerous surprises to interact with his fans. While singing "Youth," he personally launched a paper airplane he made for his Taiwan fans, filling the venue with emotion. This is his first solo tour, and he carefully performed many of his representative works over the years, including the title track "Blue" from his first solo album, "DICE," and "Beat Drum," among others. The concert was conducted without dancers, relying solely on his outstanding voice paired with a live band, deeply moving every fan present.
Throughout the concert, the fans' cheers surprised him, and he expressed, "I was just shocked; your voices went straight through my headphones. Thank you very much." While singing "Starry Night" with the fans, he couldn't help but give a thumbs up and praised in Chinese, "So touching, so great!"
At the end of the concert, Onew mentioned that Taiwan is the place he visits most frequently, and he will work hard to meet everyone again soon. When the fans chanted "SHINee," he responded with surprise, saying, "SHINee should be able to come, although I can’t guarantee it now, I will do my best to bring SHINee to meet everyone." He then serenaded the crowd with "Promise you" and personally handed a basket full of purple flowers to a fan in the audience, perfectly concluding the performance.
