In the screenshot of the conversation, Zhang Jiasong asked the female fan if she had been to U2, explaining that it is a place where one can watch movies in a private box, with pillows to lie on. The female fan replied that it might be similar to private cinemas in mainland China, to which Zhang Jiasong mentioned, "It's usually couples who go." Subsequently, they exchanged LINE accounts, and he expressed concern for her needing to dress warmly in the cold weather, also stating, "When we meet, you can (wear) less." Up until late December last year, they still had ongoing conversations, and such suggestive language drew criticism from the blogger, who accused Zhang Jiasong's behavior of being akin to choosing a partner, while the female fan completely rejected his invitations.

After this screenshot circulated online, Zhang Jiasong issued an apology to quell the controversy and reflected on how his behavior had harmed the trust and boundaries that should exist between fans and artists. Additionally, he responded to rumors about his poor performance in promoting the drama, explaining that he appeared passive because he didn't know how to participate in the conversation and expressed gratitude for the help from his partner.
