Under high pressure, they carry out emergency medical procedures, and the filming process is arduous, with the team feeling the difficulties due to the lack of basic facilities at the location. The drama depicts the struggles of doctors and the secrets and illegal dealings of an entrepreneur, exploring social issues and human struggles. The series will premiere on March 8.

《The Outlaw Doctor 化外之醫》 reached a climax this week, as 張鈞甯 and 連炳發 faced extreme medical challenges in a remote mountain work shed. At the same time, their emotions gradually heated up amid adversity. Under intense pressure, 張鈞甯 and "發哥" 連炳發 successfully treated the injured and assisted in a delivery. Alone in the mountains late at night, they shared their thoughts under the starry sky, creating an increasingly ambiguous atmosphere that has left the audience eagerly anticipating the future development of the "飯碗 (范琬) CP." 張鈞甯 commented on the filming, unable to help but complain: "The biggest challenge was the difficult shooting environment, especially since there were no restrooms, and everyone had to hold it in, making the filming very tough."

In the drama, 張鈞甯 and 連炳發 ventured into a remote work shed to help a migrant worker who had broken his shoulder while transporting wood, only to encounter a pregnant migrant worker who suddenly went into labor. 張鈞甯 hurriedly took on the role of "midwife" for the delivery but realized that the baby was not crying, putting both mother and child in a life-and-death situation, which made her extremely anxious. She revealed that this scene required a lot of focus on the details, and both the crew and actors had to maintain tremendous patience: "Surgical procedures usually require special instruments, but because we were in the work shed dealing with an emergency, we had to use tools from the toolbox to replace real medical equipment, making the process even more challenging." During the actual filming, it was also not easy for the crew, as 張鈞甯 stated that this scene was not shot in a studio but rather the crew went to a metal shed in the mountains, “The filming team also had to carry medical equipment and tools up the mountain, making the shooting process extremely difficult.”

Meanwhile, 黃大煒 portrays the medical equipment agent “祚家群” in the drama, who strives to help the missing migrant workers receive proper medical services and actively recruits "發哥" 連炳發 to become his partner, but there are many hidden secrets behind this, including suspected involvement in a human trafficking group related to organ selling, which puts 連炳發 in crisis again. 黃大煒 shared: “I spent a lot of time thinking about this role; his behavior is full of gray areas.” He added that this entrepreneur has multiple emotions and motivations, hoping that through his portrayal, the character will be closer to the complex personalities found in reality.

《The Outlaw Doctor 化外之醫》 tells the story of two unfamiliar characters whose fates intertwine due to a secret surgery in a morgue late at night. Doctor 鄭琬平 focuses on treating a sick child while neglecting her own child; meanwhile, Vietnamese plastic surgeon 范文寧 illegally practices in Taiwan to pay for his mother's exorbitant medical fees. This series, based on real social issues, deeply explores the struggles and hardships of humanity in the underground world, produced by a Golden Bell producer and co-directed by Golden Bell directors, presenting a profound story.

《The Outlaw Doctor 化外之醫》 will air starting March 8, every Saturday night at 9 PM on public television and major streaming platforms, with two episodes released each time.
