The Central Weather Bureau predicts that the temperature in the northern region will rise today, making most areas feel comfortable. From tomorrow until Wednesday, the temperature will continue to increase, with hot and humid conditions during the day, partly cloudy skies, and occasional brief rainfall, especially on Wednesday, when highs in the western region could reach 29 to 31 degrees. The meteorological agency reminds that from Wednesday night to Thursday, a front will approach, bringing stronger rainfall and thunderstorms, so it's important to pay attention to weather changes and safety. Starting from Friday, the rainfall will decrease slightly, but another front is expected to pass through over the weekend, predicting renewed rainfall across Taiwan, while the weather will still be on the humid and hot side.
The Central Weather Bureau stated that today (the 7th), the daytime temperature in the north will rise significantly, making it generally comfortable and warm across various regions. As for the weather tomorrow, the Bureau indicated that temperatures will warm up until Wednesday (the 9th) during the day, leading to muggy weather with partly cloudy skies and occasional rainfall, especially on Wednesday, which will be the warmest day. Starting from Wednesday night, a cold front will move in successively, causing the weather to change rapidly, typically within 1 to 2 days. Additionally, the northeastern winds are relatively strong, with average wind speeds reaching above level 6 or gusts exceeding level 8 (yellow alert) in certain areas of Taoyuan City, Pingtung County, Penghu County, Lanyu, and Green Island from morning to evening today, which requires special attention.
In the Matsu area today, local fog or low clouds are likely to occur, affecting visibility, and visibility below 200 meters has already been reported. Today, the wind direction will shift to easterly to southeast, with localized brief rainfall possible in the eastern region, Hengchun Peninsula, and mountainous areas in the west. In particular, the probability of afternoon rain is higher in the mountainous areas of the west, while most other regions will experience partly cloudy to sunny conditions, with occasional brief light rain in the plains of the north. With the change in wind direction, daytime temperatures in the north will rise significantly, with highs reaching 27 to 29 degrees in the west and about 24 to 26 degrees in the east, making it generally comfortable and warm across the region. At night and in the early morning, low temperatures will be between 17 and 21 degrees.
The Bureau predicted on Facebook that it will feel warm during the day, cooler in the early morning and evening, with more moisture causing muggy conditions. From Wednesday night onwards, the cold front will advance in waves, leading to rapid weather changes, typically within 1 to 2 days. Please pay close attention to the latest forecast information. From today until Wednesday, temperatures will rise, with partly cloudy skies and occasional rainfall. The weather in central and southern regions will be partly cloudy to sunny, with highs around 30 degrees. The northern and eastern regions may experience localized brief rain, especially during the day on Wednesday, which will be the warmest day, with highs reaching 29 to 31 degrees in the west, while the east can also reach 25 to 27 degrees. Nights and early mornings will remain relatively cool, so remember to bring a light jacket to cope with the temperature difference between day and night.
As for Wednesday night to Thursday (the 9th to the 10th), a cold front will pass through, so watch out for significant rainfall and thunderstorms. In the latter half of Wednesday, localized brief showers will gradually appear in the northern regions, and there may also be brief showers or thunderstorms in areas north of central Taiwan, with a chance for localized heavier rainfall. Other regions may have localized brief showers or thunderstorms as well. Rainfall will cause a slight decrease in temperature, but highs will still remain above 25 degrees. During the passage of the cold front, rainfall will be more pronounced, so please be aware of potential thunderstorms, strong gusts, and short-lived heavy rain phenomena.
On Friday (the 11th), the cold front will move away, and while there will still be more moisture, the rainfall will slightly ease; however, rain will still occur, with brief showers expected in northern and eastern regions as well as the mountainous areas of central and southern Taiwan. The weather in the flatlands of central and southern regions will turn sunny, with highs ranging between 25 to 30 degrees, and nighttime lows around 18 to 22 degrees, feeling muggy due to the abundant moisture. As for the weekend (the 12th to the 13th), another cold front will pass through, leading to rain again across the entire island, with the possibility of brief showers in northern and eastern regions, as well as the mountainous areas of central and southern Taiwan, so be mindful of heavier rainfall. Other areas may also experience localized brief rain, and the overall climate will still be predominantly muggy.
