According to reports, Osaka police received information that a 57-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman committed suicide at their home in Sakai City. The two deceased were a married couple. At the same time, the suicide note found at the scene mentioned "there are other bodies in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture" and listed three names. The Shiga Prefecture police immediately launched an investigation and ultimately found the body of an unidentified woman in a large freezer. The body showed no obvious external injuries and was fully clothed, adding a mysterious element to the case.

During the investigation, the police arrested 72-year-old homeowner Iwase Koichiro, his 49-year-old son Iwase Ryuhiko, and their 62-year-old relative Nonaka Hideki. Coincidentally, it is reported that the "body" mentioned in the suicide note of the couple from Sakai City seems to be the wife of Nonaka Hideki, who passed away five years ago. However, why the couple chose to specifically mention Shiga Prefecture, which is 120 kilometers away, remains a mystery.

Further investigation revealed that the Iwase father and son sold their old house about ten years ago due to financial issues and moved to Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture. Nonaka's deceased wife used to live in Sakai City, moved to Nagahama City to live with them several years ago, but later passed away for unknown reasons; neighbors reported that a funeral was held at that time. Currently, the police speculate that the Iwase father and son might be involved in the act of disposing of the woman's body in the freezer, but since the body has been stored in the freezer for some time, at least a week will be needed for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and identity.
