He pointed out that despite the challenges, Taiwan's trade structure still demonstrates resilience and called on the public not to panic. The specific strategies include: forming a negotiation team to improve tariffs, expanding procurement and investment with the United States, eliminating trade barriers, supporting affected industries, and promoting economic transformation and enhancing industrial status. Lai Ching-te reaffirmed that Taiwan will withstand the impact and strengthen economic cooperation with the United States.

He reiterated that Taiwan will actively respond to changes in the global economy and enhance industrial cooperation with the U.S., laying out the following five strategies:

• Strategy One: Improve reciprocal tariffs through negotiations, including forming a negotiation team led by the Vice President.
• Strategy Two: Provide necessary support and assistance to affected industries, especially aid for small and medium-sized enterprises.
• Strategy Three: Propose a medium-to-long-term economic development plan to strengthen cooperation with friendly countries and enhance Taiwan's industrial ecosystem.
• Strategy Four: Strengthen Taiwan's investment environment and assist businesses in making necessary adjustments regarding inventory issues and human resources.
• Strategy Five: Launch an industrial listening tour to actively listen to industry needs and resolve issues promptly.

Lai Ching-te urged the public that after facing various challenges in the past, not only has Taiwan successfully overcome difficulties, but it can also transform crises into opportunities. He looks forward to facing future challenges together with the public, opening new economic development paths for Taiwan.
