Lin Yi-lan admits that she is someone who gets nervous easily. During the filming of "Destined for That Goose," she accidentally came into contact with a falling caterpillar, which caused her skin to have an allergic reaction and required her to go to the hospital for an injection. However, she fainted from fear of the needle, causing the staff to rush her to the emergency room. She joked, "I really fear injections and blood draws; I've been like this since I was young."

Additionally, Lin Yi-lan mentioned that sometimes she feels like life could end at any moment; this thought has crossed her mind while flying on airplanes. Although she does not panic, she feels a sense of terror regarding the distance from death. She believes one should cherish the present and hopes to experience more of life. Recently, she started keeping a diary to document her thoughts, although she worries that if someone reads it, they might be confused, so she always writes it in a messy way.

In the movie, Lin Yi-lan is captivated by Jan Hwei-yun at first sight. She expresses that she considers the first impression to be very important; although she doesn't care much about appearances, honesty is a trait she values. Additionally, she appreciates what the other person does. She believes that if a partner engages in something they love, it is incredibly attractive, and happily pointed out that she does not rule out the possibility of a whirlwind marriage.
