The Israeli military stated that they had killed a terrorist. The incident occurred in the town of Turmus Ayya, where Labiya and two other youths were attacked by Israeli settlers. The military later detained the injured third youth and confirmed Labiya's death. This incident occurred amid rising violence in the West Bank against the backdrop of tense Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Palestinian officials stated that a teenager with American citizenship was shot dead by Israeli forces today in the West Bank. The Israeli military claimed to have killed "a terrorist." Reports mention that the mayor of Turmus Ayya in the West Bank stated that 14-year-old Labia was shot by an Israeli settler at the entrance of the town along with two other teenagers. The mayor told the media, "Two of them were taken by ambulance to a nearby medical center and then transferred to a hospital, while the third injured boy was detained by the Israeli military." Later, the Israeli military announced Labia's death and detained his body. The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the death and stated that he was shot by the "occupying forces." Reports indicate that violent incidents involving Israeli settlers in the West Bank have become frequent amid escalating conflicts, worsening since the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023. Although European countries and the administration of former U.S. President imposed sanctions on acts of violence by Israel, the current U.S. administration has lifted these measures.
