The boyfriend of one victim, Woman A, stated that Woman A met Liu online, where Liu claimed to be single but was hiding his married status. Despite Liu's constant invitations, Woman A ultimately agreed to meet him but always regarded him as a friend. Liu continued to express affection towards Woman A and requested her to send him selfies. After the incident was exposed, several women commented to share their experiences. In the end, Woman A and her boyfriend decided to expose Liu's actions to warn other women.

Recently, multiple women accused this doctor of Taiwanese-American descent, known as the "Stanford sleep authority," Liu Yongquan, of concealing his marital status and engaging in improper relationships with several women. One woman, referred to as Woman A, shared her experience online, which attracted three other women to comment, stating that they too had fallen victim to Liu's deception and received his nude selfies. Subsequently, Woman A's current boyfriend reported Liu to his wife, only to find that Liu ended up suing Woman A and her boyfriend. After a prosecutor's investigation, the case was ultimately not prosecuted, and the couple decided to expose Liu's behavior to warn other women to prevent them from becoming victims.

In mid-last month, to celebrate World Sleep Day and raise public awareness about sleep apnea, Hong Kong officially established the Oral Sleep Medicine Society, inviting experts from various countries to share insights. Liu Yongquan, from Taiwan, took the stage as a "sleep medicine authority" to give a lecture, sharing his research and clinical experiences, attracting the attention of the entire audience.

However, this charming sleep medicine expert has recently faced accusations from multiple women of deception regarding his marital status, making him a bona fide "scumbag." One victim, Woman A's boyfriend, stated that over two years ago, his girlfriend met Liu Yongquan online when he was an associate professor at Stanford University in the United States. Liu claimed to be single and frequently traveled between the U.S. and Taiwan for work, and he proactively asked Woman A to meet several times, but she politely declined.

Liu Yongquan emphasized that he was single, but Woman A discovered that he was actually married with children. Early last year, Liu invited Woman A out to dinner again, and under his enthusiastic invitation, Woman A agreed to go. Shortly after, Liu learned that Woman A would be flying to the United States and immediately invited her to tour places like Miami Beach, but Woman A always regarded Liu as just a regular friend and did not pursue further interactions.

Nevertheless, Liu did not give up and continued to show concern for Woman A, asking her to send selfies and expressing to her, "You are beautiful, I really want to hug you, I need you!" in an effort to cultivate a deep romantic image.
