The Kaohsiung Steelers faced a thrilling match against the Taipei Fubon Braves on the 6th, despite not making the playoffs. The Braves once led by 22 points in the third quarter, but were overtaken by Isaiah in the final quarter. Fortunately, Hong Kai-jie scored 6 consecutive points, leading the team to a narrow victory of 119 to 113. Braves' head coach Wu Yong-ren stated that this was an adjustment made for the playoffs and expressed regret over the inability to defend against Isaiah. Hong Kai-jie performed outstandingly, contributing 19 points and 11 assists, while Isaiah scored an impressive 36 points. Steelers head coach Qiu Da-zong expressed satisfaction with the performance of the young players and pointed out that the opponent's luxurious lineup needs self-examination.

The Braves showcased a powerful offensive surge of 21 to 2 in the third quarter, instantly widening their lead to 22 points; however, the Steelers were not ready to give up easily, gradually narrowing the gap. With 3 minutes and 59 seconds left in the game, Isaiah took the lead for the first time with a three-pointer. Fortunately, Hong Kaijie then completed a "three-point play" and made a three-pointer, securing the Braves' win.

The Braves' assistant coach stated, "We let 14 players take the court today as a strategic adjustment for the playoffs. We initially intended to defend against Isaiah and the opponent's three-point shooting, but unfortunately, we failed to do so. Today's performance could only score a 60 out of 100, but I'm still happy to win the game."

Hong Kaijie scored 19 points last night and set a career-high of 11 assists. He attributed his hot shooting to the Braves' height advantage in the paint: "Because we are tall inside, the opponents have to help guard, which creates many open shots outside for me to make."

Lin Chih-Chieh contributed 12 points off the bench. Isaiah scored 36 points in total, including 19 in the final quarter; Todd added 30 points and 12 rebounds, while Li Weiting scored 18 points.
