In the quarterfinals, 張玉龍 advanced narrowly but lost to 柯秉中 in the semifinals; 柯秉逸, on the other hand, defeated 謝佳臻 with a score of 10:4. 柯秉逸 stated that the four-inch pocket size increased the difficulty of the competition, which boosted his confidence in his competitiveness. CTPBA organizer Jackie added that the current pocket specifications have become mainstream, contributing to the improvement of players' skills.

The 2025 CTPBA Professional Pool Tour's second stop concluded successfully on the 6th, featuring an internal battle between the "Ko Brothers" in the finals. At the beginning of the match, the two brothers exchanged leads, and after tying at 2-2, the elder brother "The Prince of Pool" Ko Ping Yi quickly pulled ahead by winning three consecutive games. However, the younger brother "The King Slayer" Ko Ping Chung seized the opportunity to level the score. Subsequently, Ko Ping Yi adjusted his strategy and won another five games, ultimately defeating his brother 11-7 and claiming the champion prize of 100,000 NT dollars.

In the quarterfinals, "The Evil God of Fire" Zhang Yu Long narrowly triumphed over Luo Li Wen with a score of 10-9 to advance. However, he was eliminated in the semifinals by "The King Slayer" Ko Ping Chung, finishing with a score of 6-10. Meanwhile, "The Prince of Pool" Ko Ping Yi faced the newly minted father "The Dark Knight" Xie Jia Zhen in the semifinals. Despite trailing at the start, he ultimately won 10-4.

After the match, Xie Jia Zhen mentioned that he had already mastered the break point during practice before the competition, but changes in the main table's conditions during the match made it difficult for him to quickly adjust. He expressed gratitude for the CTPBA tour, which allows him to experience the standards of international events, and he looks forward to earning more money for his daughter's milk powder.

Ko Ping Yi commented on his recent popularity in Vietnam, noting that local fans are incredibly passionate about pool, which has significantly boosted the "Ko Brothers'" fame like a snowball effect. He expressed appreciation for the four-inch pocket tables currently in use, believing it to be an advancement that reduces luck elements and increases skill challenges. He is confident that even against players ranked in the world's top 100, his winning rate would be around 90%.

On the other hand, Zhang Yu Long, who has just completed the European Open, believes that the smaller pockets increase the pressure of competition. He emphasized the need for extra practice before matches to adapt to this change and expressed admiration for the improvement in Polish players' skills over the last two years.

The organizers of the CTPBA stated that the four-inch pocket has become the mainstream standard. This change allows players to clearly understand the gap between themselves and international competitors and noted that participating Japanese players have also felt that their opponents' skills have strengthened.
