Chu Xiang and Qiu Zi Xin play a long-term couple in the Sanlih drama "Wish," but they fall into a love triangle due to the intervention of Xia Yu Xin. The character of Xia Yu Xin actively pursues Chu Xiang, even setting up schemes to try to break them apart, which has left the audience dissatisfied. Chu Xiang emphasizes his love when questioned by his girlfriend, but his lack of decisive action ignites anger among netizens. Chu Xiang admits that he feels a lot of pressure when portraying a deeply emotional character and unexpectedly developed a skill for "one-sided tears" during the shooting process. He feels a deeper emotional connection to scenes related to his family, with sincere emotions. Furthermore, his chemistry with Qiu Zi Xin has improved as they have more scenes together, and the two even described that they often feel weary from crying during shooting. Looking back on his early collaboration with Xia Yu Xin, Chu Xiang reflects on how quickly time has passed and states that if faced with similar emotional challenges as in the storyline, he would decisively maintain distance to avoid misunderstandings.

The character played by Xia Yuxin not only actively pursues Chu Hsiang but also conspires with her mother to set traps aimed at breaking them apart, making the audience feel dissatisfied. However, what viewers find most unacceptable is that Chu Hsiang's character seems completely indifferent to his girlfriend's feelings, leading to misunderstandings for Qiu Zixin and wrongly giving Xia Yuxin the impression that she has a chance. When faced with his girlfriend's doubts, he still insists: “I love you, you have to trust me!” but chooses to respond calmly, triggering discontent among netizens, who comment: “Come on, isn’t this the time to be decisive?” and “Do you even understand what boundaries mean?”

Regarding the challenge of playing a deeply emotional role, Chu Hsiang admitted to feeling immense pressure, even losing his appetite due to nervousness, worried that he wouldn't perfectly portray the character. However, this drama not only elevated his acting skills but also unexpectedly developed his skill of “crying from one eye”! Chu Hsiang joked: “I used to think being able to control tears from both eyes was an impressive skill. I didn’t expect to unlock this ability while filming this drama!” Currently, he can only control tears from his right eye, while the left eye remains “unawakened,” which leaves him both amused and perplexed. Moreover, since he lost his parents in real life, every time he acts with his “family” Chen Guanglin, Liao Yiqiao, and Lin Xuanyu in the drama, his emotions are easily triggered: “As soon as they give me a look, my eyes will redden, and tears will quickly flow.” This genuine emotional expression allows the audience to empathize even more with the character's depth and struggles.

Chu Hsiang stated that he has a relatively introverted personality (Type I), and at the beginning of shooting the promotional photos with Qiu Zixin, they were a bit awkward. However, as they filmed more, their rapport gradually developed. He shared: “We have a lot of scenes together, and as we adjusted during the shoot, sometimes we don’t even need to say anything to sense each other’s reactions and catch the cues.” Since the emotional scenes in the drama are intense, the two often need to express strong emotions. Chu Hsiang laughed: “Recently, Qiu Zixin and I have been crying every day; it’s really a bit tiring, and after filming, we always tease each other: ‘Okay, can we stop crying now?’”

Surprisingly, Chu Hsiang and Xia Yuxin collaborated ten years ago when they co-hosted an outdoor variety show. Chu Hsiang recalled that he was still a “rookie” at that time, not expecting that ten years later they would reunite as actors, which made him reflect, “Time really flies!” In the drama, Chu Hsiang's character Chen Ziwei is criticized for being “too much of a straight man” to understand how to avoid misunderstandings, which drives viewers to comment: “This kind of man really feels like someone you’d meet in real life! He wants trust but always ends up in such situations!” In response, Chu Hsiang humorously remarked: “Ziwei really needs to change; how can he always be caught by his girlfriend!” He emphasized that if he had a girlfriend of over ten years in real life, meeting a “passionate” girl like Feifei, he would absolutely keep his distance to avoid misunderstandings.
