Kremlin's International Economic Envoy Dmitriev stated that Russia and the United States are expected to reach out again next week. He noted that there is positive development in their relations, but there are still many hostile forces within the United States. Dmitriev visited Washington last week, marking the highest-level Russian official visit to the U.S. since the Russia-Ukraine conflict and played an important role in the process of improving relations between the two sides.

Negotiations between Russia and the United States are expected to resume next week. Russian International Economic Representative Dmitriev stated that the next contact between the two sides will happen "as early as next week."

According to reports, Dmitriev mentioned in an interview with state television that the CEO of the Russian Sovereign Wealth Fund recently visited Washington, becoming one of the senior officials to visit the U.S. since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He believes that bilateral relations are developing positively, but also acknowledged that there are still many individuals within the U.S. government who hold hostile views toward Russia.

During the process of improving Russia-U.S. relations, Dmitriev has played a key role and was involved in the first negotiations with U.S. officials in February of this year in Saudi Arabia.
