Recently, the Iranian government reiterated its strong dissatisfaction with the airstrike actions targeting Iran during the Trump administration and threatened to take retaliatory measures. This declaration has raised concerns in the international community regarding the future situation in the Middle East. According to analyst Guo Zhengliang, the three strategies that Iran may pursue could pose unprecedented challenges for the United States in this incident.

Firstly, Iran might increase its military involvement in neighboring regions, for instance, by enhancing support for Syria or Yemen, thereby expanding threats against the United States and its allies. Furthermore, Iran possesses numerous militia groups that could potentially launch attacks on American military bases abroad under the influence of Iran.

Secondly, Iran might exploit its geographical advantages in the Gulf region to target oil tankers and shipping facilities, which would directly affect global energy supply and impose significant economic pressure on the United States. Guo Zhengliang pointed out that the stability of the Middle East is closely related to international oil prices, and any escalation of conflict could lead to surges in oil prices, thereby impacting the global economy.

Lastly, Iran could also consider retaliating through cyberattacks. With the advancement of technology, cyber warfare has become an important aspect of modern conflicts, and Iran's capabilities in this area are gradually increasing. If they can execute attacks on critical American infrastructure, the consequences could be unimaginable.

Guo Zhengliang emphasized that in light of this situation, the United States must respond cautiously to avoid further escalation. The international community must also engage in dialogue to find peaceful solutions and prevent conflicts between Iran and the United States from escalating into full-blown war.
