According to the latest online poll, 55.7% of people expressed concern about the military exercises, sparking heated discussions. The survey showed that 31.8% of respondents were very concerned, 23.9% were somewhat concerned, while those who were not concerned accounted for 37.8%. This military exercise by the PLA is analyzed as an upgrade and extension of the "island-control model," strengthening its control capabilities over Taiwan.

The results showed that more than 50% of the netizens expressed concern about the PLA's exercises, with 31.8% being very concerned and 23.9% somewhat concerned; those who were not worried accounted for 37.8%, with 22.1% completely not worried, 15.7% not too worried, and 6.5% responding that they didn't know or had no opinion.

During the "Strait Thunder 2025" military exercises conducted by the PLA on the 1st and 2nd, media analyses indicated that through changes in these actions, a new "island control model" is being formed in the strategy towards Taiwan, evolving from expanding power coverage to precisely controlling key areas of Taiwan's main island. This is seen as an upgrade and extension of the "Kinmen model," reflecting the further extension of the PLA's operational effectiveness toward Taiwan's main island.
