Yunlin County Magistrate Zhang Lishan was preparing to carry the palanquin at the Xiluo Bridge when Xiluo Township Mayor Liao Qiuping suddenly cut in to take the position, leading to a verbal clash between the two. In the end, Liao Qiuping successfully stood in the palanquin-carrying position, prompting Zhang Lishan to step back, while Legislator Zhang Jiajun was also forced to move to the front. The atmosphere at the scene was tense, and Yan Qingbiao remained silent. This incident has drawn public attention, and the Yunlin County Government stated that they had originally coordinated with Dajia Zhenlan Temple for Zhang Lishan to carry the palanquin but encountered an unexpected situation, leaving many confused.

When the Yunlin County Mayor was preparing to hold the palanquin on the Xiluo Bridge, he was suddenly interrupted by the Xiluo Township Mayor who pushed himself into the "C position," surprising both members of the legislature and bystanders. Today, the Dajia Mazu palanquin arrived at the center of Xiluo Bridge at 7 PM, originally meant to be held by the County Mayor, but the Township Mayor insisted on standing in the "C position" to hold the palanquin, resulting in a verbal confrontation between the two. In the end, the Township Mayor successfully maintained his position for the last 500 meters, leaving the onlookers astonished.

The palanquin entered the Xiluo Bridge from Changhua in the evening, and the Yunlin County Council Speaker and councilors had arrived early at the Xizhou end to welcome it, preparing to hand over the palanquin to the County Mayor. When the palanquin arrived, the County Mayor knelt down in reverence, the Chairman of the Zhenlan Temple lifted the palanquin curtain, and the legislator paid their respects from the side. However, when the County Mayor was about to take hold of the palanquin, the Township Mayor suddenly stepped forward, causing a dispute between the two. The County Mayor repeatedly asked her to let him pass, but the Township Mayor did not yield and responded, "Why are you pushing me?"

The County Mayor stated, "How can I take a photo if you stand in front?" To which the Township Mayor replied, "I am also a county resident; why can’t I be included?" The arguments continued, and the atmosphere grew increasingly tense. Ultimately, the legislator who was at a standstill was forced to move forward. Although the scene was awkward, the palanquin proceeded on schedule until Zheng Mingkun intervened, at which point the Township Mayor finally left.

Relevant officials from the Yunlin County Government stated that they had coordinated with the Dajia Zhenlan Temple for the County Mayor to hold the palanquin into Yunlin and did not expect such an incident to occur. Many witnesses to the event also expressed dissatisfaction, believing it was reasonable for the County Mayor to hold the palanquin.
