After picking it up, her family believed it might be an ancient artifact and reported it to the cultural bureau for confirmation.

It is understood that the girl's name is Ziv. While traveling in Ashkelon near Be'er Sheva, she noticed a stone and brushed off the sand and dust, appreciating its special appearance with her sister before showing it to her parents. Since Ashkelon is a famous archaeological site, her parents thought the stone might have historical value and decided to send it for appraisal to the cultural bureau.

After expert evaluation, it was confirmed that this is an amulet from the Bronze Age, dating back approximately 3,800 years. The scarab motif printed on the amulet is a symbol of holiness in ancient Egyptian culture, representing new life and the creator, often used in tombs, public buildings, and private residences to express religious beliefs or status.

As a result of this discovery, the girl Ziv was awarded a certificate of appreciation. The scarab amulet she found will be displayed alongside other artifacts from the same period at the Israeli National Archaeological Park.
