Reporter Su Yannan / Taipei report Cao Xingcheng stated on the 5th that the most important issue for Taiwan currently is to carry out a recall, and nothing else can be compared to it. Premier Su Tseng-chang mentioned that a special budget of 88 billion yuan will be allocated to help the agricultural, industrial, and fishing sectors affected by U.S. tariffs. The Kuomintang called for an end to the large-scale recalls in order to unite against international crises, but Cao Xingcheng believes that the Kuomintang is unrelated to Taiwan's tariffs and insists that the recalls must be completed; otherwise, the country will face danger. He emphasized that the large-scale recall is a necessary movement to defend Taiwan, and there should be no tolerance for any lawmakers acting on behalf of China.

In the report on the 5th, C.H. Tsao emphasized that Taiwan's top priority at present is to carry out the recall, and other matters are not as important. Premier Su Tseng-chang also announced the allocation of a special budget of NT$88 billion on the same day to subsidize the agriculture, industry, and fisheries affected by the 32% "equivalent tariffs" imposed by the United States, and will discuss relevant national affairs with various parties in the legislature. The Kuomintang called for an end to the large-scale recall to unite the people to respond to international challenges.

C.H. Tsao stated, "What does Taiwan's tariffs have to do with the Kuomintang? The current priority is to complete the recall, and we cannot allow others to shift the focus." He mentioned that Su Tseng-chang's press conference was about the measures to respond to U.S. tariffs. Kuomintang Chairman Eric Chu pointed out that only through unity can they face international crises, and the Democratic Progressive Party should stop using confrontational means to maintain power.

C.H. Tsao attended the recall activity for Kuomintang legislators that day and expressed dissatisfaction with the name and actions of the Kuomintang, believing that it should not interfere in Taiwan's affairs, and if it still identifies itself as the Chinese Nationalist Party, it has no right to speak. He emphasized that the purpose of the large-scale recall is to let the public understand the Kuomintang's true attitude towards Taiwan.

In response to media inquiries about whether the Kuomintang's attitude would affect the atmosphere of the recall, C.H. Tsao replied that the large-scale recall is an action to defend Taiwan, and any legislators who show favoritism towards China should not speak. The internal struggles mentioned by former Chairman Zhao Shaokang, along with Jiang Wan-an's inaction in the face of external threats, further weakened the foundation for their speeches.

Finally, C.H. Tsao emphasized that the country's interest lies in prioritizing the recall, and if internal issues are not resolved in a timely manner, it will pose a threat to Taiwan's security.
