In response to the U.S. tariff policy, both the Blue and White camps are demanding that Executive Yuan Premier 林卓榮泰 report to the Legislative Yuan and accept inquiries. 林卓榮泰 is expected to invite the three party groups to the Executive Yuan at 2 PM on Monday to discuss countermeasures. Although the Kuomintang has expressed dissatisfaction with the ruling team and called for a halt to the grand recall movement, they will ultimately still participate in the meeting. The Democratic Progressive Party emphasizes that the grand recall movement is a result of public grievances and responds to the criticisms from the Kuomintang. All parties hope to seek effective solutions in the face of the impact of U.S. policies.
In response to the U.S. tariff policy, the blue and white factions have requested the Executive Yuan's Premier Su Tseng-chang to give a special report at the Legislative Yuan and to accept questioning. Su plans to discuss national affairs with the three party caucuses next Monday afternoon. The Kuomintang (KMT) has criticized this, believing that the ruling party should first stop the massive recall actions, while the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) responded that the action was not initiated by them and opposed irrational budget cuts. However, after the invitation from the Secretary-General of the Executive Yuan, both the blue and white party caucuses indicated that they would attend. Su stated: “Next week, I will proactively invite the legislature's ruling and opposition parties to discuss national affairs, aiming to formulate a special budget with the highest consensus and the fastest speed.” In response to U.S. President Trump’s reciprocal tariff policy, Su plans to invite the three leaders of the Legislative Yuan's caucuses for discussions at the Executive Yuan next Monday afternoon at 2 PM. The DPP's caucus secretary-general mentioned that they hope the KMT and the People’s Party attending the meeting can discuss specific matters and confirmed that the meeting would take place at the earliest next Monday. Although the KMT caucus is willing to go, they still held a press conference before departing to criticize the ruling government and demand a halt to the massive recall actions.

KMT spokespersons stated that certain manufacturers have already received notices to halt operations, and all industries are feeling worried. DPP legislators emphasized that the massive recall is not initiated by the DPP but is based on public opinion, and they believe that the KMT's irrational behavior further confirms the necessity of the massive recall.

In response to the actions of the blue camp, the green camp remains unconvinced, and although the blue and white have agreed to discuss national affairs, they also called for the Legislative Yuan Speaker to convene a consultation between the ruling and opposition parties and invite the Premier to the Legislative Yuan for a special report, so that the public can understand the government’s response. The Chairman of the People’s Party emphasized that it should not be verbally expressed by the Executive Yuan and hopes that representative government departments can report to the Legislative Yuan. Another legislator stated that if the cabinet is ineffective, then a vote of no confidence can be proposed, but continuous meaningless attacks should not happen, as it is not beneficial for the country.
The U.S. reciprocal tariff policy affects Taiwan’s industry and export trade, and government agencies are actively seeking countermeasures, hoping to find solutions.
