The latest polls indicate that Le Pen has a certain advantage in the upcoming presidential election, but most respondents believe the conviction is justified, reflecting the proper functioning of France's democratic system.

According to reports, Le Pen was sentenced on March 31 for misappropriating European Parliament funds and has been banned from running for election for five years; she expressed dissatisfaction with the ruling, calling it a "political judgment."

For this rally, Le Pen's supporters mobilized 20 large buses and 9 minibuses to show their support. The president of her party, the National Rally, claimed that 10,000 people attended the event, but the actual number may be far less. Notably, at the same time as her rally, France's main leftist parties held another event at Place de la République in Paris, under the banner of "Defending the Rule of Law," which attracted a large number of participants.

The court's ruling seems not to have diminished Le Pen's electoral strength. According to polling data, if the presidential election were held in 2027, she would lead her main opponent with 32% to 36% in vote share. However, her perception of the conviction as an attack on French democracy did not gain support, with surveys showing that 68% of respondents considered the ruling normal, and 54% stated that it reflects the good functioning of French democracy.
