The scenic Cape Coast high platform in Houlong Township, Miaoli County, is breathtaking. The county government's Cultural Affairs Bureau is making every effort to secure funding to plan the coastal corridor between Cape Coast and Tongxiao Township’s Baishatun Gongtian Temple, transforming it into a tourist destination with a total budget of over 400 million NTD. This project will connect multiple attractions, including the Port Tunnel and Cape Paradise, creating a diverse tourism route and attracting more visitors. The county government plans to promote several sub-projects over three years to enhance tourism facilities and marketing in the area, hoping to make this place a popular leisure zone.

The town of Houlong in Miaoli County boasts the magnificent Cape of Good Hope coastal viewing platform. The County Government's Department of Cultural Affairs is making every effort to secure funding to create a coastal corridor from Cape of Good Hope to Baishatun Gongtian Temple in Tongxiao Township, forming a linear tourist attraction.

The total investment exceeds 400 million NTD, which will interconnect locations such as Cape of Good Hope, the Guokang Tunnel, and Cape Paradise through five sub-projects, extending to the Baishatun Mazu Cultural Park, creating a diverse tourism belt to attract more visitors.

Due to the unique terrain of the Cape of Good Hope highlands in Houlong and its proximity to the Taiwan Strait, the distant views are quite enchanting. In recent years, the County Government has also sought to designate Zhunan Township and Houlong Township as county-level coastal tourism specific zones, highlighting Cape of Good Hope as a key attraction and linking surrounding attractions like the Guokang Tunnel and Cape Paradise. Furthermore, the connection from Cape of Good Hope to County Road 41 can reach Qinghai Palace, Shanbian Mazu, and Baishatun Gongtian Temple in Tongxiao Township, forming a diverse tourism corridor that integrates natural scenery, history, and religious culture.

To achieve these goals, the County Government's Department of Cultural Affairs is seeking nearly 300 million NTD in subsidies from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications' Tourism Bureau, along with the County Government's self-funding, to invest a total of 45 million NTD in the "Heart of the Sea Hill Baishatun Sanctuary" project.

In addition, the County Government and the Houlong Township Office are actively working to improve the tourism facilities at Cape of Good Hope, including widening County Road 33 and County Road 41, and applying to the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Energy Bureau for the establishment of a green energy exhibition center, hoping to make Cape of Good Hope and its surrounding areas a diverse recreational area.

The Department of Cultural Affairs plans to link the attractions along the route within three years, implementing various plans including the tourism improvement plan for the Heart of the Sea Hill and the century-old Guokang Tunnel, beach-related tourism facility improvement plans from Baishatun to Cape of Good Hope, sustainable tourism promotion plans for the Hills of Good Hope, tourism industry enhancement plans for the Baishatun Mazu Cultural Park, integrated marketing promotion plans for the coastal tourism corridor, digital tourism marketing plans for the future, and project management service plans for the important coastal corridor from Baishatun to Cape of Good Hope, totaling five sub-projects.
