During the Dajia Mazu pilgrimage event, several conflicts occurred on the night of the 4th. In the early hours of today, two men clashed again at the intersection of Ziqiang and Cixiu North Roads. The police promptly took them in for questioning and discovered that one of them was intoxicated.

On the night of the 4th, as the Dajia Mazu palanquin set off, Zhenlan Temple staff encountered pushing incidents with members from other temples while clearing the way for Mazu. During this time, a member surnamed Huang even attacked Zhenlan Temple personnel with a safety helmet, leading to a conflict between the two sides. The police later notified Mr. Huang to come in for questioning and dealt with him under the Social Order Maintenance Act. During the investigation, police discovered that a man surnamed Zhang was also involved, and subsequently apprehended him, seizing an air gun. Mr. Zhang stated that he carried the weapon to "boost his courage" to participate in the pilgrimage.

In the early hours of today, two men got into a verbal altercation with Nian-San personnel at the intersection of Ziqiang and Cixiu North Road and pushed against the police. Law enforcement quickly intervened and brought them in for questioning. It was found that one of the men had been drinking and was clearly intoxicated.

Regarding the recent conflict, Yan Qingbiao emphasized that it may not involve personnel from Zhenlan Temple and the devotees but rather be caused by local temple personnel assisting Nian-San. He reiterated his call for everyone to remain restrained to avoid more unnecessary losses.
