The finals of the 2025 National Creative Song Jiang Battle Competition were held in Neimen, Kaohsiung. "Feng Wu Xin Chuan - Xiluo Fengshan Pavilion" won the championship with the theme of the legendary Liao Tian Ding, while National Tainan University and Lung Hwa University of Science and Technology respectively secured the second and third places. The competition featured 7 participating teams, integrating elements of martial arts and modern dance to enhance the performance of Song Jiang Battle. This event attracted many cultural enthusiasts and received support from numerous distinguished guests, highlighting the importance of intangible cultural heritage. The delicate performance of "Feng Wu Xin Chuan" received unanimous praise, showcasing a revival of traditional arts.

The 2025 National Creative Song Jiang Battle Team Finals was held at the Shun Hsien Temple in Neimen, Kaohsiung. The “Feng Wu Xin Chuan - West Luna Phoenix Mountain Pavilion,” themed around the legend of Liao Tian Ding, won the championship. National Tainan University and Longhua University of Science and Technology secured the second and third places, respectively, showcasing the cultural energy of the fusion of traditional martial arts and modern creativity. This year's competition featured seven teams, each combining the fundamentals of martial arts with elements of dramatic narrative, modern dance, and theatrical expressions, presenting a brand new look for the Song Jiang Battle.

The Commissioner of the Tourism Bureau stated that this event attracted numerous cultural enthusiasts from both domestic and international backgrounds, creating a lively atmosphere filled with applause, showcasing rich cultural heritage and creative power. The “Feng Wu Xin Chuan - West Luna Phoenix Mountain Pavilion” won the championship, while National Tainan University and Longhua University of Science and Technology won the second and third places, respectively. Additionally, “Liang Shan Hero Town Bei Fan” and “Jia Le Chuan Yi” received the distinguished award, while “Guan Miao Dong Shi Wang Lai Baby” and “Min Jing Song Jiang” received the merit award. In the special awards category, “Wang Lai Baby” received the Heavenly Mazu Award, while “Min Jing Song Jiang” won the Kaohsiung City Council Speaker Award.

This event attracted numerous distinguished guests and received full support from local representatives, demonstrating the value placed on intangible cultural heritage. The Commissioner of the Tourism Bureau mentioned that in 2024, the tourist numbers in Kaohsiung are expected to surpass 69.23 million, ranking first in the country for two consecutive years. The Song Jiang Battle competition has entered its 25th year since its inception in 2001, being held alternately by three major temples and has become a representative local cultural festival.

The performances from each team were filled with creativity. “Guan Miao Dong Shi Wang Lai Baby” showcased bamboo-woven weapons combined with Bagua and centipede formations; “Min Jing Song Jiang” integrated Hakka lion dances with time-space narratives, demonstrating formations like the water tornado; “Jia Le Chuan Yi” blended temple square culture, popping dance, and boxing, demonstrating powerful integration. The championship-winning “Feng Wu Xin Chuan - West Luna Phoenix Mountain Pavilion” interpreted the story of Liao Tian Ding in an episodic format, with meticulous and exciting character settings and stage martial arts designs, receiving unanimous acclaim from both judges and spectators, injecting innovative vitality into traditional art formations.
