The Tainan City Government's Transportation Bureau, in collaboration with the Public Works Bureau and the Central and Western District Office, has launched the "Guangxian Traffic Park," which was personally inaugurated by Mayor Huang Weizhe. This is Tainan City's first traffic-themed park, designed with a scaled-down road environment as its feature, providing both educational and entertainment functions to help children learn traffic safety knowledge through play. The park includes simulated road lanes, sidewalks, and traffic signals, aimed at cultivating children's awareness of obeying traffic rules and promoting the concept of "pedestrian priority." The city government hopes to use this educational platform to instill traffic safety concepts into the public’s consciousness and enhance citizens' self-protection capabilities.
In order to deepen the concept of traffic safety, the Tainan City Government's Transportation Bureau, in collaboration with the Public Works Bureau and the Central and Western District Office, has opened the "Guangxian Traffic Park," which has characteristics of traffic education. The mayor announced its official opening while inspecting the children's facilities, hoping that through diverse promotion methods and fun activities at the traffic park, citizens can easily learn and grasp the correct road use concepts, allowing traffic safety awareness to penetrate all age groups. City councilors also attended to express their concerns.
The mayor stated that Guangxian Traffic Park is the first traffic-themed park in Tainan City, aimed at combining education and entertainment, featuring many scaled-down traffic facilities that attract parents to bring their children to play. Children can understand traffic rules through large traffic play equipment, subconsciously cultivating their awareness of adhering to traffic regulations. The city government will choose suitable locations to establish more similar facilities to enhance the public's habit of obeying traffic rules.
The mayor emphasized that Tainan City actively promotes traffic safety education, and cultivating citizens' correct road use concepts is key to ensuring life safety. With the establishment of the traffic park, it is hoped that the correct road use concepts will penetrate all age groups. In the future, the city government will continue to promote these concepts and encourage schools to make good use of the park's resources, enhancing traffic safety awareness through experiential learning, laying a foundation for creating a friendly traffic environment.
Guangxian Traffic Park is located at the intersection of Lane 550, Section 2, Zhonghua West Road and Wenxiang Street in the Central and Western District. The overall design is a proportionally scaled-down road environment that incorporates traffic markings, signs, and signals, along with recreational spaces, creating a unique park that combines educational and entertainment functions. The park allows students to learn correct traffic safety knowledge through games, enhancing their self-protection abilities.
Inside Guangxian Traffic Park, there are vehicle lanes, sidewalks, pedestrian signals, and crosswalk lines, and it refers to roundabout designs to create a realistic traffic environment, allowing both big and small children to learn correct traffic rules while playing, emphasizing the concept of "pedestrian priority" and promoting the idea of "slow down and stop at intersections, pedestrians go first." The simulated road experience in the park aims to create a space for parents and children to learn together, fostering awareness of respect for road use equality and enhancing defensive driving self-protection abilities. It is hoped that through the promotion of traffic safety education, the correct road use concepts will take root from a young age, jointly creating a friendlier and safer traffic environment.
