A 23-year-old female student surnamed Lai, a fourth-year student at National Taiwan University, unfortunately fell onto the tracks and was struck by a train on the night of the 5th at Fuzhong Station of the MRT. At the time of the incident, she had entered the tracks from the platform. When the police arrived, they found that she had head injuries and she was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment but unfortunately did not survive. The prosecutor confirmed the cause of death as injuries to the head and abdomen, and a death certificate has been issued. The body will be returned to the family. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

After the prosecutor and forensic expert finished their inspection at the scene, they left. An incident occurred at the Fuzhong MRT Station on the evening of the 5th, where a 23-year-old woman with the surname Lai unexpectedly fell onto the tracks and was hit by an incoming train, resulting in her unfortunate death. The woman was a fourth-year student at National Taiwan University, and the cause of the accident is still under further investigation.

According to reports, at the time of the incident, Ms. Lai suddenly jumped onto the tracks from the platform heading toward Dingpu and was immediately struck by the incoming train, losing all vital signs on the spot. Emergency services arrived and found that Ms. Lai had obvious head injuries and abrasions on her limbs. Although she was swiftly rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, her injuries were too severe, and she was ultimately pronounced dead.

Police investigation revealed that Ms. Lai was a 23-year-old fourth-year student at National Taiwan University, married, and living in a rental apartment in Taipei with her husband. Before the incident, she had taken the MRT from Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Station, transferred at Ximen Station, and was on her way to Fuzhong Station when this tragedy occurred.

On the afternoon of the 6th, around 1 PM, the prosecutor conducted an inspection of Ms. Lai's body at Yadong Hospital for about 50 minutes, initially determining the cause of death to be due to impacts to the head and abdomen. The family had no objections to the cause of death, and a death certificate has been issued, with the body returned to the family. During the inspection, Ms. Lai's husband did not appear to provide a statement.
