The United States imposes a high tariff of 32% on Taiwan, causing severe impacts on Taiwanese businesses, particularly in traditional industries such as information and communication technology, plumbing supplies, and textiles, which have become the primary targets of these strikes. During the Qingming holiday period, government agencies took proactive measures, inviting leaders from the ICT industry for discussions on Saturday, and reconvening today (April 6) with representatives from traditional industries and small and medium-sized enterprises to discuss countermeasures. The chairman of the Machinery Industry Association stated that the president has pledged to strengthen procurement from the United States and announced relevant relief measures, saying, "We can feel the government's sincerity."

The chairman of the Machinery Industry Association mentioned that the president stated there would be further efforts to strengthen procurement from the United States, hoping to reduce tariffs, and emphasized the need for ongoing negotiations, expressing hope to see the government's efforts and looking forward to future results.

In the face of the United States' 32% high tariffs, Taiwanese traditional industries are particularly severely impacted, especially in the plumbing supplies and textile sectors, which are suffering significant losses, leading to strong reactions from the industry. The government urgently convened all leaders of traditional industries over two consecutive days to discuss countermeasures, aiming to reduce the level of impact.
