The BBQ restaurant "滋滋ZiZi" in Taichung is a newly opened Korean BBQ spot located on Gongyi Road, previously known as "一桶tone" Korean New Cuisine. The interior decor style is unique, making it suitable for taking photos and checking in. They offer a variety of BBQ set menus, and customers can choose to order by scanning a QR code. The menu includes pork, beef, Korean spicy tofu stew, and more, with unlimited refills on side dishes and lettuce. The overall dining experience is quite good, and their thickly sliced pork belly is especially recommended. The address is: No. 933, Section 2, Gongyi Road, Nantun District, Taichung City, and the business hours are during lunch and dinner on weekdays, with extended hours on weekends.

Taichung|燒肉滋滋ZiZi has recently opened a Korean barbecue restaurant in the culinary area of Gongyi Road! This restaurant has just been in business for a month, and its name, 燒肉滋滋ZiZi, immediately evokes a barbecue vibe; the owner really knows how to name a place! 燒肉滋滋ZiZi is located at the end of Gongyi Road, close to Longfu Road, and it used to be a Korean cuisine restaurant in the Central Science Park. I initially had a good impression of it because I had previously tried their epidemic prevention bento. Now that they have moved to Gongyi Road, we decided to give it a try. The exterior design of this 燒肉滋滋 features a Morandi color palette, making it feel like a café, perfect for Instagram check-ins, capturing the hearts of young consumers!

  • Next to the counter, there is a large wall with the letters ZIZI, which is great for taking photos and provides a bit of privacy for the two seating areas behind it.
  • The seating area on the first floor accommodates about 4-5 tables.
  • On the way to the second floor, you will pass a tall CASS beer wall, sparking curiosity about whether it's for display or due to lack of space. 燒肉滋滋ZiZi

The dining environment on the second floor is spacious, making it perfect for company gatherings. Of course, in addition to the Korean CASS beer, soju and makgeolli are also essential! This time we chose the two-person package for 2199 Taiwan dollars that includes both beef and pork; ordering requires scanning a QR CODE. Due to the extensive menu, the full menu is placed at the end.

  • Before the dishes arrive, they first serve the sauces, including barbecue sauce, sweet and spicy sauce, and sesame oil with pepper salt.
  • The side dishes and lettuce can be refilled freely, with a special recommendation for the spicy bean sprouts and kimchi, which are very delicious!
  • Our drink choices were unsweetened green tea and Calpis sparkling drink.

Of course, the meat dishes were served! On the left is pork, and on the right is beef. The pork cuts include pork collar, pork belly strips, and pork tenderloin. That day we also received a portion of thick-cut pork belly, which the staff swiftly placed on the grill, leaving no time for pictures, but it tasted quite good. Since we made our reservation earlier, the staff also helped grill the meat, resulting in crispy pork belly, with the fatty parts becoming very flavorful, and wrapped in lettuce, it was even more delicious!

  • As for the pork, the pork ribs had a very firm texture, while the pork tenderloin was more solid.
  • Our beef selections included the lower part of Angus chuck shoulder and Angus short ribs; additionally, there was Australian grain-fed flank, which had a chewy texture.
  • The grilled short ribs also had a good chew without being tough; personally, I really liked this dish. The chuck shoulder beef was tender and rich in fat, making it unforgettable.

Besides the meat, we also tried the Korean spicy tofu stew, which also included rice cakes; the broth was aromatic and spicy, with plenty of tofu—two people couldn't finish it. Later, we also ordered a seafood pancake, which included shrimp and squid, fried to a golden crisp and very tasty.

For dessert, we chose Hokkaido melon ice cream and Mövenpick yogurt; while they may not have Korean characteristics, they made for a nice conclusion. At checkout, we noticed some Korean rice cracker candy at the counter, which is quite unique and worth a try! Overall, 燒肉滋滋 performed well in both the meat and side dishes, leaving us satisfied. Friends who love Korean barbecue must not miss this place!
