The newly opened barbecue restaurant, 燒肉滋滋ZiZi, in Taichung has attracted many diners. Located on Gongyi Road, it was formerly a place called 一桶tone Korean cuisine. The restaurant features stylish design that's perfect for taking photos and checking in. There’s a wide variety of Korean barbecue options available, along with free side dishes and accompanying meals. Dishes like thick-cut pork belly and various beef selections are quite delicious and particularly suitable for gatherings. Additionally, authentic snacks such as Korean spicy tofu stew are offered, making for a satisfying overall experience. For details on the restaurant's address and opening hours, you can refer to its official Facebook page.
In the food battlefield of Gongyi Road in Taichung, the newly opened 烤肉滋滋ZiZi brings a fresh atmosphere to Korean barbecue! This restaurant, which has just been open for a month, has a name that is full of the imagery of grilling meat, showcasing the owner's cleverness. 烤肉滋滋ZiZi is located at the end of Gongyi Road, conveniently close to Longfu Road. The previous establishment was a Korean restaurant called 一桶tone. Remembering the Korean-style epidemic prevention lunch box I tried before, which was quite good, I decided to come here to try the new dishes.
The Morandi color scheme design of the store makes you feel like you are in a café, and it's perfect for taking Instagram-worthy photos, successfully attracting the attention of young consumers. Inside the restaurant, there is a large wall displaying the word ZIZI, which is popular for both check-ins and photos.
The seating area on the first floor can accommodate about 4-5 tables, while the second floor is spacious, making it very suitable for company gatherings. The beer wall in the stairwell may seem casually arranged at first glance, but it actually adds to the restaurant's atmosphere.
In addition to Korean CASS beer, soju and makgeolli are also essential delicacies. On that day, we chose the NT$2199 beef and pork set, ordering through a self-service QR CODE. However, the menu is extensive, and details can be viewed in the restaurant.
Before the meal is served, we were provided with delicious sauces, including barbecue sauce, sweet and spicy sauce, sesame oil with pepper salt, and more. The side dishes and lettuce can be refilled endlessly, with the spicy bean sprouts and kimchi particularly favored. For drinks, we chose unsweetened green tea and Calpis sparkling drink.
When the meat was served, the left side featured pork, and the right side showcased beef. The pork selection included pork neck, pork belly, and pork shoulder, all of which were very fresh. Coupled with thick-cut pork belly, grilled to a perfect golden brown, it's hard to resist pairing it with fresh lettuce.
The beef selection included Angus shoulder clod, Angus short ribs, and Australian grain-fed diaphragm, all offering a rich and chewy texture that left everyone praising it. Overall, the quality of the meat is excellent, showcasing the essence of Korean barbecue.
Although the main dishes were abundant, we did not forget to taste the side dishes. The Korean spicy tofu stew here also featured rice cakes, with a broth that was spicy and flavorful. Additionally, the seafood pancake was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious, absolutely satisfying.
As for dessert options, there was nothing particularly Korean, but paired with Hokkaido cantaloupe ice cream and Mövenpick yogurt, it was still a perfect ending. Don't forget to try the Korean rice cracker candy at the counter when checking out; its unique flavor is unforgettable!
Overall, 烤肉滋滋ZiZi performs quite well in terms of meat variety and the quality of side dishes. It is highly recommended for friends who love Korean barbecue to come and experience it.
