The braised pork rice comes with pickled cabbage and seasoned cucumber, with rice grains well-defined and the meat not oily. The sesame noodles are rich in flavor, and pairing them with the light white tofu soup and the sweet bitter melon soup is very popular. The pig ears are aromatic with garlic and have a unique texture. The restaurant is named 中寮義和小吃部, and its address is 477-15 Yongping Road, Zhongliao Township, Nantou County. It is a must-visit food spot.

The braised pork rice (large) comes with pickled cabbage and pickled cucumbers. Although we are unsure if we could choose the meat, we didn’t ask since the crowd was starting to grow. A special reminder: there are toothpicks on the table, so it's recommended to pick them up first! The rice grains are distinct, the lean meat has a chewy texture, and the fatty meat is sweet without being greasy; those who prefer less fatty meat might favor the leaner portions.

The sesame noodles (small) are rich in sesame sauce with the aroma of braised meat, and the noodles are a plain type with a slightly thick texture.

The white tofu soup has a mild flavor with a sweet fresh taste and is infused with the fragrance of fried shallots.

The bitter gourd soup has a sweet and rich flavor; you can also enjoy the aroma of bitter gourd in the soup, so friends who like bitter gourd might consider ordering a bowl to taste.

The pig ears paired with garlic-flavored oil paste also have a smoky meat aroma, making them very appetizing. You might find yourself finishing the whole plate without realizing it.
