As summer approaches, travel agencies are rolling out an array of itineraries, especially tours heading to Japan's Tohoku region. This year, the China Travel Agency has once again introduced an exciting itinerary dubbed the ‘5-Day Tour in Japan's Tohoku’.

This year, Taiwan Tigerair will add a new direct flight from Kaohsiung to Sendai, making travel to the beautiful Tohoku region even more convenient. The tour is scheduled to depart on July 19, July 26, August 16, August 23, September 13, and September 27. Participants will take Taiwan Tigerair on the first day, flying directly from Kaohsiung to Sendai.

On the second day, the itinerary will first take travelers to the beautiful Yamagata. Here, they will stroll through the Ginzan Onsen Street, immersing themselves in the relaxing atmosphere of the hot springs and the local culture. Following that, they will experience the Akita In-land Line, enjoying the lush greenery along the way. Next, they will visit Kakunodate, known as “Little Kyoto of the Mutsu,” where they can admire the well-preserved samurai residences and take photos of the beautiful Chōsuke statue at Lake Tazawa.

On the third day, travelers will head to Aomori, where they can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Towada from the observation deck. Following this, they will stroll through the Oirase Stream, which is famous for its numerous waterfalls and clear streams along the way. The most notable among them is the Chōshi Waterfall, rising seven meters high and presenting a spectacular sight, especially during the spring and summer when the water flow is at its fullest.

On the fourth day, the tour continues to Iwate, starting with a visit to Hiraizumi's Chūson-ji, a UNESCO World Heritage site, followed by a boat ride at Geibikei to appreciate the steep cliffs flanking both sides. Finally, they will head to Genbikei, renowned as Japan's most beautiful creek, where they can enjoy the famous Hiten Kakko dango.

On the final day, the itinerary includes a visit to Matsushima, one of Japan's three scenic views, featuring a boat tour that navigates through its numerous islands, and visiting the Five-Story Pagoda at Matsushima. Before heading to the airport, there will also be time for visitors to enjoy shopping at duty-free shops and AEON shopping center, adding a fun experience to the trip.
