In a recent livestream, internet celebrity Director Chen Zhihan, also known as the "Ambassador of Peace," traveled to China for a six-day broadcasting venture that has set off a media frenzy. On December 12, while dining online with Wang Xiaofei, the ex-husband of actress Xu Xiyuan (known as Big S), the livestream attracted over 400,000 viewers, making it a sensational event. This fundraising campaign received backing from various political figures, including Blue Camp legislators Fu Kuan-chih and Hsu Chiao-hsin who also sent their support through donations. However, amidst this donation frenzy, an astonishing donation of "1,000,000" appeared online, shocking everyone involved.

Unfortunately, it was later discovered by sharp-eyed viewers that this jaw-dropping figure was actually expressed in Indonesian rupiah (IDR), amounting to roughly NTD 1,800. This revelation sent social media into a frenzy, with many poking fun at the misleading figures, quipping, "The number is shocking, but the currency value is a joke" and likening it to the director going from millionaire to a mere shrimp rice ball.

Despite this seemingly outrageous donation being a false alarm, the director did receive real monetary support, with one viewer generously donating $299.99 (approximately NTD 8,860) expressing gratitude for his efforts toward peace across the Taiwan Strait.

During his live sessions, it was reported that the director's total donations exceeded NTD 680,000 in just the first three days and were estimated to have surpassed NTD 800,000 overall, with contributions being made in USD, HKD, TWD, and even Indonesian rupiah. This made the livestream resemble an "international donation competition," showcasing the director's popularity and influence.

Despite the controversies surrounding his trip, the Director was set to return to Taiwan on the 15th, with netizens humorously asserting, "His trip was not in vain," and proclaiming that he had already made back his expenses and more.
