The chairman of the People’s Party, 柯文哲, is involved in the 京華城 case. The Taipei District Court held a hearing on the 25th, summoning the former director of the Taipei City Urban Development Bureau, 黃景茂. 黃景茂 stated that the prosecuting attorney, 林俊言, presented an unsigned document during the interrogation, claiming that 彭振聲 and 邵琇珮 had already pleaded guilty. However, he chose not to plead guilty in order to uphold the dignity of civil servants. The Taipei District Prosecutor’s Office responded to this matter, emphasizing that there was no improper questioning. 黃景茂 questioned the authenticity of the document and pointed out that what he saw at the time was a printed version of the document and not the original.
Huang Jingmao emphasized that he has not committed any crimes. Recently, the chairman of the People's Party, Ko Wen-je, attended a trial at the Taipei District Court regarding the Jinghua City case, where Huang Jingmao, the former director of the Taipei City Urban Development Bureau, was summoned. Huang Jingmao revealed that during the interrogation, the prosecutor presented an unsigned document, claiming that the former chairman of the Urban Planning Committee, Peng Zhensheng, and the former Chief Engineer of the Urban Development Bureau, Shao Xiupai, had already confessed. However, he chose not to plead guilty to maintain the dignity of civil servants. In response, the Taipei District Prosecutor's Office stated that based on the needs of the interrogation, the prosecutor would provide records for the interrogated persons to identify and that there was no inappropriate questioning or illegal behavior.
Throughout the court proceedings at the Taipei District Court, the handling prosecutor, Lin Junyan, became a target of criticism. Even the chairman of the detained Weijing Group, Shen Qingjing, and Ko Wen-je publicly accused him of using improper methods to coerce them into confessing. Huang Jingmao is the third defendant to make such accusations. In court, Huang Jingmao pointed out that during his interrogation on October 11, 2024, the prosecutor Lin Junyan informed him that Peng Zhensheng and Shao Xiupai had confessed and presented two related documents; however, the signature fields on these documents did not contain their signatures. As a civil servant, he has the responsibility to handle the Jinghua City case legally, therefore he chose not to plead guilty to uphold the dignity of civil servants. However, it was understood that the “documents” Huang Jingmao saw were not the original records but data printed from a computer. After the hearing, the Taipei District Prosecutor's Office stated to the media that the prosecutor prompted the interrogated persons to identify the records during the interrogation and did not violate any laws or engage in improper questioning. Huang Jingmao expressed doubts about the confessions of Peng Zhensheng and Shao Xiupai, but since the original records were not available, the prosecutor indicated the electronic records of the two, which Huang Jingmao and his lawyer did not dispute.
