The chairman of the People's Party, 柯文哲, appeared in court at the Taipei District Court due to his involvement in the 京華城 corruption case, where he summoned the former director of the Taipei City Urban Development Bureau, 黃景茂. 黃景茂 stated that during the interrogation process, prosecutor 林俊言 mentioned that two other individuals involved had already pleaded guilty and presented an unsigned document. 黃 chose not to plead guilty in order to uphold the dignity of civil servants. The Taipei District Prosecutors Office responded that the prosecutor's actions were in accordance with investigation procedures and there was no impropriety. The hearing for this case is still ongoing.
Huang Jingmao emphasized that he did not commit any crime. The Chairman of the People’s Party, Ko Wen-je, is suspected in the Jinghua City scandal. The Taipei District Court opened a hearing on the 25th, summoning the former director of the Taipei City Urban Development Bureau, Huang Jingmao, to appear in court. He stated that during the interrogation, the prosecuting attorney mentioned that Peng Zhen-sheng and Shao Xiu-pei had pleaded guilty, and he chose not to plead guilty in order to uphold the dignity of civil servants. In response, the prosecution stated that during the interrogation process, they would provide related records for identification as needed, and there were no illegal actions.
Throughout the trial process in the Taipei District Court, the prosecuting attorney became the focal point, as both a certain group's detained chairman and Ko Wen-je mentioned in court, accusing the prosecutor of using improper means to pressure them into pleading guilty. Huang Jingmao, being the third accused party in the case, stated in court that when he was interrogated on October 11, 2024, he did not see the signatures of Peng Zhen-sheng and Shao Xiu-pei on the documents provided by the prosecutor, explaining that he handled the Jinghua City case legally based on his civil servant duties and chose not to plead guilty to uphold the dignity of civil servants.
According to understanding, the documents seen by Huang Jingmao were not formal records but printed versions of computer files. After media inquiries, the Taipei District Prosecutors Office stated that the prosecutor provided electronic files of the records as needed during the interrogation, which did not violate the law. Huang Jingmao raised questions about the guilty pleas of Peng Zhen-sheng and Shao Xiu-pei, but since there were no original records at the time, the prosecutor therefore provided their electronic files, and Huang Jingmao and his lawyer did not object to this.
